Technical Support

Please be aware that your computer should meet the recommended specs in order to run the CIS Suites.

Some sound chips (RealTek, SoundMax) may require you to manually set the recording input level via their proprietary software.
Click here for Vista / Windows7 instructions.

Be sure that BOTH noise reduction and echo cancellation are turned off (RealTek's products usually have them turned on by default).  The options should be located on the microphone tab in the RealTek audio software.

  • Use the audio input check utility to get a visual representation of the audio input.  It's found on the All Programs menu.  If the utility doesn't display the audio signal:
      a)  Check the external device (GSR2) to be sure it can produce the expected sound at a decent volume.
      b)  Be sure the audio cable is fully plugged (back) into the external device (GSR2).
      c)  Be sure the audio cable is fully plugged into the computer.
      d)  Be sure that noise reduction AND echo cancellation are turned off if they're available options.  (see above).
      e)  Increase the recording input level and if that makes a difference in the audio input check.  (see above)

  • "No recording device found" error when starting up.
Check the red note found here (Vista / Windows7 instructions).
